In the November elections, Ohio voters once again turned down a bill which would have permitted slot machines at select locations across the state. While I personaly don't care if Ohio elects to have legalized gambling, I voted NO on this issue because of all the baggage which accompanied it. They were trying to attach an education fund to it which really didn't benefit the children already in school and would have not been effective for at least 12 years out.
I probably would have voted for it if presented in a straight-up fashion like "We want gambling in Ohio and here is why". By trying to deceive the voters and trick them into thinking that they were voting for education, their underhanded tactics backfired. The Ohio voters didn't buy in to their histeria nor did they feel guilty for NOT Voting for the kids!
